Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onion and minced garlic until softened, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cooled onion mixture, eggs, milk, parsley, thyme, rosemary, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with hands just until combined.
  4. Press the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar until smooth.
  6. Spread the creamy topping evenly over the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Let the meatloaf rest in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. For dairy-free, use a milk alternative. Do not overmix the meat to avoid a tough texture. An instant-read thermometer is recommended for perfect doneness.
