My kids cheer when they see these golden brown bites coming out of the oven. The familiar, comforting flavors of stuffing and sausage make them an instant hit for even the pickiest little eaters. These Stuffing Sausage Balls are the easiest holiday appetizer you will make, and they are guaranteed to disappear fast from any party platter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 package stuffing mix, about 6 ounces
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix, shredded cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add the raw ground sausage to the bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands.
  4. In a small separate bowl, whisk the eggs and chicken broth together.
  5. Pour the wet mixture over the sausage and stuffing blend and mix until just combined.
  6. Portion out the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet about an inch apart.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage is cooked through and the outside is golden brown.
  8. Let them cool on the pan for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a fun twist, you can add cooked bacon or dried cranberries. Use gluten-free stuffing mix for a gluten-free version. These can be made ahead and frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in oven or air fryer for best texture.
