A collection of simple, no-bake Valentine’s treats featuring antioxidant-rich dark chocolate and fresh berries. These fun, family-friendly recipes are a healthier way to celebrate, focusing on real ingredients and joyful preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate bar (70% cocoa or higher), broken into pieces
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • Optional: flaky sea salt, finely chopped nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. For Heart-Shaped Strawberries: Hold a strawberry by the stem. Using a small sharp knife, cut a V-shaped notch into the top third to form a heart shape. Gently separate halves slightly. Repeat with remaining berries.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in a tiny pinch of sea salt.
  4. Dip each heart-shaped strawberry halfway into the melted chocolate. Let excess drip off, then place on the prepared baking sheet. Garnish with flaky salt or nuts if desired.
  5. For Berry Yogurt Bites: In a small bowl, mash the raspberries with a fork. Mix in Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Drop small spoonfuls of the yogurt mixture onto the parchment-lined sheet. Use the back of the spoon to shape into small disks or hearts.
  7. Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the yogurt bites using a spoon.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 25-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set and the yogurt bites are firm.
  9. Serve treats at room temperature for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Ensure berries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing. For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt and dairy-free dark chocolate. Treats are best enjoyed within 24 hours but can be stored in a single layer in an airtight container in the fridge.
