This is a nostalgic, no-bake dessert featuring sweet grapes coated in a creamy vanilla dressing and topped with a buttery brown sugar and pecan crunch. It’s a simple, budget-friendly crowd-pleaser perfect for potlucks and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes, a mix of red and green
  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapes thoroughly and pat them completely dry with kitchen towels.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Beat until completely combined and silky.
  4. Gently fold the dry grapes into the cream cheese mixture until evenly coated.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the chopped nuts, brown sugar, and melted butter to form a crumbly topping.
  6. Transfer the creamy grape mixture to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the nut topping evenly over the surface.
  7. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, before serving.

Notes

Ensure grapes are completely dry to prevent a runny dressing. Let cream cheese soften for easy mixing. The chill time is essential for flavors to meld. For a lighter version, use Neufchatel cheese and light sour cream.
