Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block sharp cheddar in red wax
  • 1 round brie or log of goat cheese
  • 1 wedge blue cheese like Gorgonzola
  • 4 oz sliced pepperoni or hard salami
  • 4 oz prosciutto or soppressata
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup salted almonds
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup cornichons or pickled onions
  • Assorted crackers and sliced baguette
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place a large board or platter on a stable surface. Optionally, scatter a handful of arugula or kale leaves as a base.
  2. Unwrap the cheeses and place them on the board first, spacing them apart. Cut a few slices or chunks from each to make them inviting.
  3. Arrange the sliced meats around the cheeses, folding salami into cones or fanning them out.
  4. Fill the empty spaces with the fruits, creating clusters of red berries, white grapes, and blue berries.
  5. Add small bowls or ramekins for the fig jam, honey, and pickles. Scatter the almonds and crackers into any remaining gaps.
  6. Garnish the entire board with fresh herb sprigs. Let the cheeses sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

All cheese tastes best at room temperature. Assemble the board up to an hour before guests arrive. For a warm element, add spinach artichoke wontons or mini caprese bites. Customize with your favorite dips and gluten-free crackers as needed.
