These deviled eggs get a savory upgrade with everything bagel seasoning. The creamy filling, made smooth by pushing yolks through a sieve, is the perfect contrast to the crunchy, garlicky topping. They are an effortless and irresistible party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar or pickle brine
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning, plus more for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a full boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, immediately cover the pot and remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 12 minutes.
  3. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool completely. Peel under cool running water.
  4. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Gently remove yolks to a bowl and arrange whites on a serving platter.
  5. Press the egg yolks through a fine mesh sieve into a clean bowl using the back of a spoon.
  6. To the sieved yolks, add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mash and stir until completely smooth and creamy.
  7. Fold in the 2 tablespoons of Everything Bagel Seasoning until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg white halves.
  9. Garnish each deviled egg with an extra sprinkle of Everything Bagel Seasoning just before serving.

Notes

For best results, use the steep method for perfect hard boiled eggs. The filling and peeled egg whites can be made a day ahead and stored separately in the fridge. Assemble within an hour of serving for the best texture.
