These elegant strawberries feature a crisp dark chocolate shell swirled with creamy white chocolate, creating a beautiful marbled effect perfect for Easter. They are surprisingly simple to make, requiring no baking and just a handful of quality ingredients for a festive treat that looks professionally decorated.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries with stems
  • 8 ounces high-quality dark chocolate melting wafers or chopped chocolate
  • 4 ounces high-quality white chocolate melting wafers or chopped chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening, divided
  • Optional: pastel sprinkles or sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries and pat completely dry with paper towels. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt dark chocolate with 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Repeat in a separate bowl with white chocolate and remaining 1/2 teaspoon oil.
  3. Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip into dark chocolate, coating about 3/4 of the way up. Let excess drip off and place on prepared sheet.
  4. While dark chocolate is still wet, drizzle lines of melted white chocolate over the strawberry. Immediately drag a toothpick through the lines to create a swirl pattern.
  5. Repeat dipping and swirling process with remaining strawberries, working on a few at a time.
  6. Allow strawberries to set completely at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing. Do not refrigerate to set, as condensation will make the chocolate sticky. For best results, use quality melting wafers designed for easy dipping and a firm set.
