Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Beat until smooth.
  3. Add shredded chicken, 1 cup of grated cheddar, blue cheese (or ranch), chopped celery, and most of the green onions. Fold to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased 8×8 baking dish. Smooth the top and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with reserved green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For a smooth dip, always grate cheese from a block and soften cream cheese fully. For a stovetop version, combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until melted and heated through.
