This simple fudge recipe delivers a classic, melt-in-your-mouth texture without any baking. Made with just a handful of pantry staples, it’s a perfect quick treat for gifting or satisfying a sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural style)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until completely melted and smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt until combined.
  4. Add the creamy peanut butter and stir vigorously until fully melted and the mixture is uniform in color.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer.
  6. Let the pan sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Use the parchment paper to lift the fudge block from the pan. Place on a cutting board and slice into 1-inch squares with a sharp knife, wiping the blade with a hot, damp cloth between cuts for clean edges.

Notes

Use conventional creamy peanut butter for best texture. For clean cuts, ensure fudge is fully chilled. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
